    Senior Test Specialist (f/m/d)


    The main purpose of a Senior Test Specialist is to develop and conduct exploratory, automated and manual tests. By finding differences between the expected and actual results he identifies faults in applications and software created by our developers. The candidate ensures product quality standards, averts risks and prevents software issues in the field. Ultimately our Senior Test Specialist ensures that our software products are fit for their purpose and meet the requirements and specifications given by our clients and customers.


    1. Reviewing manuals and specifications (Intermediate level): Review all relevant documents for a project regarding testability, comprehensibility, plausibility, inconsistencies, and requirement gaps and provide feedback of review results to V&V internal stuff and external teams.
    2.  Design Test Cases (Advanced level): This includes the definition of test case goals and writing of test steps using common testing methods and techniques. Expected results have to be defined as well as test prerequisites. A traceability regarding requirements, test cases and test documents has to be established.
    3. Test Execution (Advanced level): Execute predefined test cases on ERT Software using suitable test data and create meaningful screenshots in the process.
    4.  Analysis of Test Results (Advanced level): Check and compare expected with actual result, also applying common sense and knowledge of state-of-the-art implementation to identify deviations. Rate test results and report identified deviations.
    5. Perform Test Reviews (Advanced level): Check execution and documentation of test case completeness/correctness. Check test plans for conformity and completeness regarding applicable/covered requirements
    6.  Bug Handling (Advanced level): Entering of bug reports in ERT bug tracking systems that are detailed and reproducible. Provide severity ratings and priorities and keep track of the bug life cycle
    7.  Maintaining and Setup of Test Environment (Advanced level): Setup and update configured test systems for test execution. This includes knowledge and use of applicable backend environments and tools for testing purposes.
    8.  Creation of Test Documentation (Advanced level): Knowledge of all documents described in applicable SOPs and capability to create documents according to various test activities.
    9.  Reporting of Project Status (Advanced level): Report current status of assigned tasks to next reporting level or external parties (TPJM, PJM). Attend status meetings and report current status for projects/topics as needed.


    • Three years related experience or equivalent combination of education and
      experience in Software Testing methods and techniques. This includes knowledge in using exploratory testing approaches and test automation approaches.
    • Three years of Experience in the clinical research or healthcare industry. Experience in a 21 CFR Part 11 FDA regulated environment desirable.
    • Strong skills in maintaining detailed documentation.
    • Ability to carefully examine requirements and specifications to anticipate quality issues and provide timely feedback when specifications are incomplete or inaccurate.
    • Experience in finding, reproducing, logging and verifying software defects.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Ability to work under pressure and deliver to tight guidelines and schedules.
    • Must be detail oriented, organized and able to learn new tasks quickly and exhibit a positive attitude.
    • Good understanding of the Software Development processes
    • Good communication skills. Must be fluent in written and spoken English and able to work with an offshore team when necessary
