Join us in Estenfeld (near Würzburg) and become part of our great Team as

Senior Software Engineer (Embedded Systems) (m/f/d)

The Senior Software Engineer role will deliver source code based on specifications within the estimated timelines and in the required quality, contributing to low level specifications.

The Senior Software Engineer provides low-level solution and feature design, estimates the effort required to deliver on that design, and then builds the solution. The role will involve estimates of your own effort and schedule working daily with all developmental contingency factors (bottom-up estimating).

Coding is done based on detailed specifications. Code reviews are conducted by the Senior Software Engineer to assess the quality level of the application’s features at the unit level. Reviews allow team members to share development knowledge and experience. The Senior Software Engineer is required to conduct and document results of satisfactory unit-level testing of the features implemented. The V&V department works actively with the Senior Software Engineer to plan for and conduct the assessment of the quality of the solution feature independently and as part of the complete solution

The role of Senior Software Engineer will also involve:

  1. Contribute to the creation of the logical design of a solution.
  2. Participate actively in the creation and review of the functional specification.
  3. Implement code to meet the design specifications.
  4. Carry out unit testing as defined in the test plan with the support of the test role.
  5. Provide documentation and give support during deployment of the solution.
  6. Perform review of code, design and unit testing coverage.
  7. Coach and support developers of a software project team to assure availability of development results.
  8. Serve the team as a technology consultant.
  9. Interfacing with production and purchasing units.
